Differential problems

Big question, I noticed there is a noise coming from the back of the car and it sounds like something would be rubbing and making the noise as if it were the tire. I've looked up videos and I believe it is the differential, but I not sure how to get rid of the problem. Please help thanks.

Eddie, have you checked the differential lube? That's what I'd do first.

....to see if your tire lugs are properly torqued to ~85ftlbs. Use torque wrench if you can.

Check to see if one of the rear tire's bearing is going bad by:
- removing one of the rear tires
- spread the brake pads away from the disc (I use a screwdriver between the inner pad and the disk; you won't hurt the disk)
- rotate the hub and listen for binding or grinding.

Okay, but I earlier did the differential oil change and I realized one of the bushings is really worn out so I believe that's the problem.

Eddie, I have 2 questions:
- what diff fluid did you put in the diff?
- which bushing is worn?

I used Castro 75w-90, and I think it's the bigger one that's right where the differential is, towards the end.
