Private sales are private sales. An FFL selling without running a background check is already a felony.

In MD, you HAVE to go through an FFL. I can't sell my gun to an MD resident or resident of any other state without going through an FFL or I am committing a felony.

Personally, I'm perfectly fine with that. The fact that some states allow private transactions in alleys is stupid IMO. Then again, criminals will do that REGARDLESS of the law. So what f*cking difference does it make if you require the FFL or not?

I understand. That's the loophole. You're in VA. Ever been to a gun show here? Happens all the time. My first rifle I bought they said if I paid cash it was cash and carry. If not, I have to fill out paperwork.

Collapsible stocks, pistol grips, and flash suppressors turn ordinary law-abiding citizens into mindless child murderers and rapists.

Just like 18 inch wheels turn me into a street racer with intent to kill.

the reason I feel this way is very similar to owning a car, the amount of responsibility that comes with ownership of a firearm. I've seen my share of numb nuts who always keep their finger on the trigger regardless.

Gun safety should be a required class in schools just as much as learning Spanish or whatever foreign language offered. Too many are ignorant where as in the days of our founding fathers, it was part of everyday life.

Why should the government license me to drive a car? Or even a motorcycle, they are so much smaller, they must be easier to drive and not require any type of licensing.

You laugh at what I proposed, and maybe i dont express myself as well as I could, but but something must be done other than 'adding more guns'. And nobody ever thinks of what the world will look like in 10 or 20 years, they only look at THIS year, or the next. Gun regs may not do much in short term but could be effective over a couple of decades.

Nothing is permanent BTW, look at the last gun ban. Why people can't "lose" a round and still act like fvcking human beings and live to fight another day is beyond me.

Because driving a car on public roads with other people around is a privilege.

Why can't you just give up a few rights here and there and still act like a normal person? Lets go ahead and suspend that pesky fourth amendment to make sure there's no "illegal" guns in anybody's houses that they don't want to report. Nobody will mind that, right? Nothing to hide, nothing to worry about.

Why fight another day when the battlefront is right in your face today? A dog may bow its head in submission when you raise your hand at it but that same dog backed in a corner will defend itself. Even if it means ripping off your face. You ask me and thousands if not millions to bend a knee to the will of tyrannical idealists when we are not dogs. We are not backed into the corner. We believe in our American heritage as our forefathers deemed plausible as our constitution. We will fight to preserve it as a democracy. Disarming us of "assault weapons" is a step towards disarming us entirely of what we have to defend ourselves from oppression. When that day comes, what else would you disarm us of? Our freedom is why the United States is such a great and beautiful country. Why destroy something that so many have bled and died for? You say I'm only looking at today and not 10 years from now. You could not be any more wrong. The actions of today shape tomorrow. I am looking at the United States my children and their children will be living in. I'm not going to be idle while the chess pieces are moving towards loss on their way of life. Many will stand up and not be pawns. I just hope it does not come to drawing blood of ourselves. It won't be north vs south. Not east vs west. It will be neighbor vs neighbor. Family vs family. Brother vs brother. That is not something, as a family man, i wish to see.

Damn i wish i could sleep. If any of the above seems incoherent, do not consider that I'm crazy but rather i am a borderline insomniac on prescribed pain killers for a knee injury and that exhaustion is setting in. While it makes sense to me now, i do not fully trust i worded it properly. I'm not picking a fight for amusement as earlier. I'm simply stating my feelings as i see things. I am not a Fox News watcher anymore than i am a watcher of abc or the others. Please note i did not use left, right, conservative, liberal, republican or democrat. I did my best

IMO, they shouldn't. If I'm in my personal vehicle I have the right to travel and shouldn't have to be licensed in such. Common law is hard to come by now a days I know.

I don't at all understand why the libs think its a compromise. Where is your compromise? And don't say it's still making guns accessible at outrageous prices. I'll be sure to let (insert female name here) know that if she works longer hours at work she will be able to protect herself from her from rapists. The ONLY thing you have suggested is taking making it harder to get guns for law abiding citizens.

You want senseless killing, go target cigarette companies first. Then come back and questions guns. Companies that can murder thousands and thousands of people a year. And we go after something that took sub 300 people's life. That is unless all of a sudden you want to take every single gun away...

Explain how this makes you feel more safe and there is any reason at all to limit capacity....

Lol at the capacity limit. My glock is10+1 so in all i carry 21 .40 possible deaths. I also carry a ruger lcp which is 6+1 for a total of 13. That's 34 murders if my guns would shoot themselves. In my hand or any other sensible person though, it is 34 chances to save my family, myself, or someone else from a criminal. I carry daily both guns. I have my ccl and even if i didn't, PA is an open carry state. I'm a law abiding citizen. Is the criminal stalking your house waiting for the moment to break in?

Going to go check out a e39 540 later. 6spd m package blah blah blah. Wife drove by dealer said they have an e46 m3 which isn't listed on their site yet... Both black with tinted windows. Don't know interior colors. Wish me luck.
