Def C5 not C4, the C4 is a deathtrap and horribly uncomfortable.

Clearly the newer the Vette is, the better off you are, but it all depends on what you want to spend.

I had two C4's and other than sounding like a truck at idle, snap handling (no real heads up it would break loose in the rear...hard to recover) and the whole thing flex'd a lot with lexan roof panel out

And yet, I still want a new one (C6 and the new C7 looks interesting)...I really want a ZR1

I hate looking at used cars because it's always "oh, if I just spend another G or 2 I can get that, and then again" until I'm at twice my budget.

Buuuuut, it's not all that bad as long as your depreciation (as a hard $ not %) is equal across the board.

Buying a brand new 7 series, massive depreciation.

Buying a 5 year old 7 series, normalized depreciation... likely not all that much worse than buying a 5 year old 3 series. Based on Craigslist averages, my truck has GAINED value since I bought it two years ago. Equivalent vehicles are now selling for around 8-10 and I paid 6500 for mine (and I think it's safe to say the "mods" i put on the truck would actually have increased it further)

Chase, you would actually recommend Craigslist for automobile search? I'm hunting for a used e46 m3 or e39 540/m5. Would prefer stock. My 325 is too loud to be a family car anymore. it's starting to get too loud for me even. I'm sick of always driving the wife's volvo around when we go anywhere. Too much of a boat

Interactive map of gun related deaths over 1 weekend. Kind of interesting. No political commentary from me.
