I demand free sh1t from the government. Hell, screw the government, I'm just going to go rob my rich neighbors. They have public roads they use, they didn't earn what they have.

Brb, redistributing wealth.

Oh, and chase, +1 on the 22lr conversion for the AR. It's your cheapest bet. I'd really like to be able to pick up an AK-74, because 5.45 is cheaper than .22 in a lot of places, but the break even point is way too high for my taste.

free market is awesome....... sometimes. Sometimes it creates a huge mess because of human greed.

You present a perfectly valid point and there are many who claim that the current welfare system is set up TO ENTRAP AND APPEASE the lower class. Many economists claim that the welfare state is the result of class warfare and has been expanded to INTENTIONALLY solidify the position of inner city blacks.

With that in mind, you have to wrestle the benefits of a social system with the violence or uprising that could result from a starving lower class. There are a few solutions : Police state, Appeasement, Socio-economic cleansing.

I certainly won't support the latter of those three options but I have no problem with a strong police force which is controlling a dangerous impoverished class. And if you think of the costs saved by shrinking the freebies, you can certainly afford the additional public servants required to keep the peace.

But this is to go to an extreme.. my goal here isn't to remove the entire safety net and have the masses starving on the streets. Rather, I aim to retract the growing epidemic of mentalities which embrace government dependance. The notion that "the government should take care of me" is out of control in this nation and will only continue to grow as personal, individual success continues to be hated upon. Look at the presentation of the 1% and the presentation of the 99%... This idea that the rich are somehow the enemies... in reality, the rich are providing the opportunities which exist for the 99%... but instead of seeing it that way, they are drawn as the oppressors.. a title which really should be placed upon the government's head.. after all, it is by their doing that we've fostered a safety net capable of complete dependance and reliance... which doesn't help anyone.

wow that was like every fox news talking point all blended up in one paragraph. i'd love to see some sources on how many people think the government should take care of them. the rich are taking way more than their share which makes income inequality even worse, and doesn't help the economy either.

You realize you're aiming this dribble at a guy who believes in abolishing the existing tax structure and a creation of a consumption tax... right?
