*PICS* Facelift Sedan w/ M3 Replica Bumper

Icy roads during our last big storm directed my car into a guardrail so I decided that (thanks to insurance) it would be a great time to get a new bumper. After deliberation and discussing it with the body shop, I decided on the M3 replica from ModBargains. Fitment was really good although it required about 5 hours of prep (mostly sanding) before it was painted. I had to get adapters for the fogs but that only cost ~$8 on eBay. I have been getting tons of compliments on it and people think I have a new model BMW and are surprised when I tell them it's 8 years old!

Big thanks to Elliott over at ModBargains for the hookup!!

M3 bumpers on sedans look incredibly out of place. Especially facelift sedans.

Also, I hate your smoked corners with every once of me.

Agreed. Don't really like M3 bumpers on non-m's very much... But if OP likes it that's fine.

Now paint those mirrors, put clears all around, wheels and a drop and it will look good!

A drop, a lip or splitters, clears, painted mirors and you're good to go

xi + m3 bumper with no drop = no... gaps under the headlight trim like no other too.

but. its not my car. cool that you got to upgrade via ins. mt2 would have been my choice. Id get some spacers for the wheels though.

fitment looks great. That bumper is a little too agressive for a stock car. With more mods, it will flow a little better. I adore CSL front bumpers on facelift sedan and coupes.

I'm fully aware that it isn't the number one choice for most of the guys on here, but I really like the look and I have yet to see a sedan IRL with the same bumper. It's nice to be able to have a car that stands out, especially being a body and color that EVERYONE has. Also, the gap doesn't stand out as much as the pictures make it appear.

As far as the mirrors go, that was a plastidip project but I didn't like the result that much. It will come off in spring. I'd love to drop the car but I live in NY and put the AWD to use whether it's plowing snow, climbing up dirt roads on the way to the bike park, or driving in a field to go hunting, so I'm happy with it. I might do a lip though.

So, you don't like it, fine...I take no offense. I'm a college student with a job that involves driving an hour to work, and I actually use my car for practical things including hauling my mtn bike and kayak. I do my best to keep it clean and trouble-free, but at the end of the day it still has to be functional. Donations are accepted for the mod fund.

Did you use the bumper gaskets? make sure you have it, it will improve the fitment. most shop don't put them back.
