Hands Free communication

After initial purchase of 2003 BMW i had OEM Blue tooth module installed by dealer ( this included module, Home link for 3 garage doors and a microphone ). These components are installed in front of sunroof ( it replaced a panel ).

Although all components work, garage door works , phone syncs there was an issue with use of phone due to lack of sound making it to microphone. The service moved the microphone closer to the driver it improved the sound but not good enough for use. I have seen small directional microphones that may fit the bill and make module fully useful. Any suggestions or comments?

get yourself a motorola roadster for $50. BT streaming, calling and integrates with any stereo through FM with clarity. best bang for the buck.

Not an option

This is a bad idea since the unit is already installed.

Maybe try the "upgraded" mic if you have the standard one.

And if you have the new one, double check it has the correct orientation.
