My Ride: 2002 E46 BMW 330Ci
Asked to be a Wedding Bridal Car

Some friends of mine who are getting married in September asked if they could use my 330Ci as the bridal car, with me as the driver. I was completely floored. I told them I would be honored to be their driver using my car, but I had to be honest and said I felt the car would be a bit impractical as a bridal car being a two door coupe. The bride would find it a bit cramped in the back, and difficult to get in and out from the back seat in her full wedding dress, etc.

So they asked if they could at least view the car so I drove it over to them earlier today for a "test sitting". I said that if they subsequently decided the car wouldn't be suitable as a result of the "test sitting" then I wouldn't mind at all and wouldn't take any offense or be upset whatsoever as I would also agree it isn't exactly a practical bridal car. A groomsman's car maybe, but not the bridal car.

Well, they loved it despite the two doors, and the bride said she will sit in the front seat, and the bridesmaids will be in the other wedding car which will be an SUV.

So come September, my baby will be adorned with ribbons from the front grille to the A-pillars, transporting the beautiful bride in style from her hotel to the venue where the ceremony and reception will take place.

As it will be the main bridal car, hopefully I'll score some awesome professional photos of it at the wedding, maybe something like this!

Which leads me onto this question: who else here has been propositioned to use your Beemer as a wedding car, and if so, did you do it?

My car was used as the wedding car to drive in to the wedding with. We had the roof down and the couple sat on the back tonneau cover.

I used the m3 as a grooms car. Was a fun experience although the rope chaffed and scratched up the bonnet to buggery.

Also used it as a taxi at my own wedding to help a few people get to the reception.

The convertibles would be awesome for the wedding cars. Even the coupes are not bad with the factory seats as they life all the way up.

My car has been used as the Bridal car before. The thought was nice initially, but personally knowing how awkward gowns are, the bride will have a bit of trouble. Possibly more trouble in a coupe vs. convertible.

Yep... used as the groom's car at my sister's wedding, after which the couple was dropped off in a Jag XJ.

Last year drove a mate and her father to the church and her and husband from the ceremony. They hired cool kombie vans for the bridal party

So many things could be said about that photo.

None of them are complimentary...

You can read the headlines...
2 killed & 4 critical after best-man loses control & plows into wedding guests. All car occupants unharmed.

C63 is better than all of the above as a wedding car as long as the bride agrees to burnouts
