Possible aux input on OEM 2000 BMW 323i?

Hey guys, just got my e46 a couple weeks back and I've been loving. I've especially been loving the sound system of the car, it does have the Harmon Kardon package and I would like to play music off my iPhone. I would like to keep an OEM head unit for now until I buy a different one I have in mind for the future. Is there a way to connect an aux to the head unit or will I have to purchase a 2003 e46 business head unit? Thank you for any replies

You can add a 30 pin ipod cable to get charging and a little better audio.

Adding this allows you to add a female USB for apple products.

Adding this allows you to connect an aux to the unit above.

The Enfig looks like a good solution.

Another route you can take is to purchase a later model Business CD that supports AUX and wire-in your own - if you get the right model it will also support MP3 CDs. But your AM reception may be diminished because the newer radios have a different antenna amplifier setup. I took this route because the display on my radio went out, but if hadn't I would have probably chosen one of the add-on AUX+Bluetooth options.

I suppose it wouldn't be a true Internet forum without Bozo's replying to questions suggesting you search for answers, as if that option has never occurred to anyone.

Bmw makes the aux cable. The connected is buried in the stock navs wire harness. Search, it's no secret. It was one of the first things I did to my car when I got it.
