Debadging decision.

I've seen a few different posts. Didnt get much info. What do you think? I'm tempted but I don't want to regret it.

It's a personal preference.
Who cares what we think.

This.

I personally think cars look naked without badges, so I leave mine on. I also tend to automatically assume that a debadged car is the lowest model, like a 318/323, which was backed up by the fact that my last 318 had been debadged by the PO...

My 330 was debadged by (one of) the PO. Now how can other BMW drivers know what it is? Do what ever makes you happy. If you sell the car put the badge in the glove box so next owner can rebadge if they want (I wonder if my PO kept it as a souvenir)

Question, how can you put the badge back on the car! Adhesive?

When I see a debadged car, my first thought is "323"!
I don't think I have ever seen a debadged 330, dknightd.

@OP, maybe go with black, if we are just talking about the chrome model numbers. Or, maybe even body colored could look different.
But if you are referring to removing the front and rear Rondells, then you just look like one of the "Competitors" cars in a car commercial. You know the ones I mean? They put them in the commercial all in the same bland silver or grey, while the car they are promoting is painted bright red. Plus, it just looks like sh!t is missing from your car. That would be like shaving a small bald spot at the back and front of your head, and it would look about as good.

For some reason one of the POs of my e36 328is debadged it, one of the first things I did when I got the car was to put a new 328is badge back on it. I personally wouldn't debadge my car because I instantly assume all debadged cars are the lowest possible variant. But I don't hold it against people that debadge, only those that "upbadge" i.e. M3 badge on a 323, that really annoys me.

Your car is what it is. Why try to hide it.

I debadged because I think it looks more balanced/clean. If I had a 330 I would still debadge. I can understand why people don't like it though.

Debadged both my 330ci and my e36 m3. I think it looks better and I don't care if people think it's a lower model.
