Arock, I personally agree with you (although maybe not to the same level.) Being in the restaurant industry, I am no stranger to killing for food. While a bullet to the head is a pretty quick way to dispatch an animal, small game/birds I prefer the neck snap method. Would I do this personally? No I wouldn't. However, the end result and "ethics" are pretty much the same....basically instant death.

However, that being said, I think this is a poor demonstration of gun handling. The shooter fired basically straight down. He was aiming at the upper portion of the rooster, which while alive, is very easy to miss. The miss could have sent fragments of bullet/concrete back up at the other guys standing next to the cage. Looks like bad practice to me.

Boars are a known nuisance and frequently are killed openly to reduce populations

They don't eat them

Personally, I'm against trapping live things and releasing them to shoot for sport.

In that particular video it seems they were trapped and then released for sport killing. As above, I'm VERY against this practice

Out in the open... Fair game

Exactly!.. I understand the sport aswell as killing for food but theres no need for practices demonstrated in the vids.

Boar is amazing meat. You would be crazy to kill a boar and not take it home. Some of the best tasting meat you will ever eat.

CCI quiet's, note how the shell did not eject and I manually cleared it at the end of the video. It's very low powered ammo, great for silencers and I knew it was weak enough not to have to worry about blowing threw the wood block and hitting the floor. That rounds only got about a half inch penetration in hard wood.

The chicken died instantly, the sounds it made was just normal nerv ending stuff.

Whats kinder, what I did or this?
