Looking For Portable Car Wash System

I just moved into a complex that doesn't have any place to wash my car. Argh. Does anyone know of a low cost portable car wash system? Btw, I don't prefer those waterless car washes. Tried um. Didn't like um. Thanks.

That doesnt exist lol. If you can get access to a water valve somewhere in the complex then i suppose you could buy a hose and then do your thing. However, Imo your best bet is buy a bucket, microfiber wash mit and some microfiber towels. Then go to a car wash stall and bring the bucket ect, use the power washer to fill bucket and wash it by hand and then rinse it off. Dont forget to bring lots of quarters too. There's a system that hooks to a hose and foams. A guy used it once when I paid him to detail my car.

It was pretty awesome.

Thats called a foam gun, It has nothing to do with a "portable" system

And this is why I like my cummins forum. You all are so stuck up its sad.

I no it's not portable. They guy had a set up and his whole thing was portable. Tank and pump on trailer and then he used the foam gun.

It's nothing stuck up, The thread is about a portable car was system, not a commercial detailing trailer... I was simply pointing out that what you had mentioned would not work for OP's application.

Yes I do mind swirls.

I wasn't planning on using that brush.

I long since have a Foamaster 2 but you need to connect it to a hose. I don't have access to a spigot anymore.

I am not referring to a pro system that I have seen mounted on a trailer.

Like i said since you dont have access to a valve just go to a car wash stall and pay the 2$ or whatever and hand wash your car and use the powerwasher and bring the supplies i mentioned. Thats the best way to do it and you'll never have any issues.

Go to the local coin-op car wash. Use your own sponges and soap, two bucket method etc.. to prevent any more swirls

Thank you two bucket method soap sponge and some towels. I used to do it when i didnt have a garage either. Just throw your supplies in the trunk and your good to go. One thing i might mention though is that it can be tricky to get the bucket to fill with water with the powerwasher without it splashing you. You'll prolly have to play with the trigger and try to get it to stream instead of full blast. Good luck.

Do what dinan19 suggested. Since you'll be in a mostly enclosed area (no sun beating down on the car vs. being outside in the open air), that would also be the perfect time to hand polish and wax the car.....if you don't get yelled at for being in the stall too long.

It's not the brush that will make the swirls, it's dragging the dirt around with the sponge

I detail cars for a living for private individuals and i can tell you hands down that a brush will def scratch the clear coat regardless if its clean or not. Any type of brush is abrasive and should never be used.

Correct but thats why you use two buckets and start from the roof and work your way down. The brush should just never be an option. And preferably tge OP should use a microfiber wash mitt instead of a sponge.

You can use a two bucket system with Optimum no rinse, a couple of gallons of water and about 8 microfiber towels to wash and dry. Works pretty good. Just ned to keep using a clean surface on the micro towel.
