Build me o2 simulator package with heaters!

Ok, here is the scoop. I have tried installing the eu2 tune but i have obd testing soon and my post o2s will say not ready or N/A.

Im lazy and i dont have any post o2 sensors sitting around. Any way somebody can build me the box with simulator and heater in it so it would be a simple plug and play deal.

Forum member bimmerguy055 used to make them but he hasnt been online for about a year. Here is the link to his thread so you can see what i mean:

http://www.e46fanatics.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=906094

With that setup i wouldnt have to go out and buy o2 sensors just have to plug in fabricated unit into the o2 wires in engine bay and mount the project box in my drug bin.

PM me your price including parts and labor. I will send you the money required to buy the parts before you make it (as a deposit) then the remainder before you ship them to me. I have so many other things to worry about with my car at the moment that i simply am getting frustrated and would rather pay. Paypal ready. I believe bimmerguy055 charged 75 or something.

Thanks alot

Awesome. Update with the e-test results. Should be fine now since theres no sniffer anymore. Curious if long highway drives will still throw a cel with this solution.

Shitty

Was it after some extended highway driving? How'd your test go? Couldn't you clear it and go drive for an hour?

If you really don't want to run cats, the only foolproof solution is to get an Innovate LC-1 and wire it in as an O2 fooler. Side benefit is you now have a wideband O2 in your exhaust which is great for tuning. "Dumb" O2 foolers that don't trigger off of the pre-cat O2 sensor will never work long-term.

Bimmerguy is a great member! Will help you till resolved! charges around $60 and codes will go away, Hes been helping me and soon to get my codes cleared!

1st Setup: 1 cat failure

Have you checked to see if your car is actually OBD-II "ready?" The car may not be throwing a CEL but it will still not pass an OBD-II emissions test.

You will need a scan tool with that capability, like the BMW scan software.
I don't know how the O2 foolers you have work, but how most of them work is by providing a stable voltage waveform corresponding to a working catalyst.

The problem is that BMW is tricky and will send a brief lean burn through the motor to test the catalyst efficiency and O2 response time. The primary O2 sensor will read this but your fooler is blind to it. This is why you need a "smart" O2 fooler to pass an OBD-II test.

I understand what you are saying, i think the way bimmerguy055 has it set up is decent because people have passed inspection with them. I guess i will put 100 more miles on them today then get the etest tomorrow.
