Great episode! Can't wait for next week.

I thought for sure Hammond was going to catch his car on fire, the way the camera zoomed in on his burner.

Fantastic episode!! Without a doubt it's definitely the best road trip episode ever. I thought it was going to explode too..but I guess they went with the other route and made the viewer think it was going to blow. But then it doesn't.

I think what's particularly good about the episode is that there's not cocking about and scripted lines.

Finally, back to epic status. I would rate this episode a 9 out of 10 on it's own. If judged with next week's as one, Im certain it's a 10/10. Epic, funny, down to earth, etc.

Excellent episode!
How many of you guys have been to/driven in a country like this and know exactly what they're going through as far as driving conditions?

I've driven on terrain like that, but never a place where that was "the roads" that I needed to travel in a rental 1.2 Astra diesel.

Funny episode!

The 528 is holding up pretty well! Pretty sure it has cable throttle though. I used to have a 528iT stick. Jeremy should hit it with a hammer.

Did any of you notice the E36 front strut in episode 5 (with the old people car) in the garage? It's around the 8:05 mark

edit: hammond is actually putting the spring on the e36 strut when he's "softening the suspension" of the fiat

If I knew I was going to africa, I definitely wouldn't buy a vehicle based on sporty anything other than a subaru and MAYBE an audi. Hamster made the right move. James did it all wrong. Jezza's 5 star BMW hotel is boss though.
