Bad for Top Gear UK or bad in comparison to other Top Gears?

That's a bit of a stretch I mean when was the last time you saw a good Simpson's episode? Both have been long running shows with ups and downs.

Bad for Top Gear UK. It was reminiscent of a few of the early season episodes. They hardly reviewed the cars at all.

It's not as bad as Australian Top gear IMO.

WTF was that about? How is that even possible? A friend of mine had a Crossfire in high school and it was slow as sh!t. Or am I a complete sucker and bought into the joke?

It was probably a very highly modified crossfire. Engine / trans swap and gutted and on track tires. And Hammond was probably making a fool of himself behind the wheel.

Yup, could be many variables. A badly driven fast car, bad launch, modded Crossfire, tires, etc., so many variables.

With 330hp, and it's a 6 year old car at this point. The viper has 650hp and they weigh about the same. That thing had to have been highly modified to pull away like it did.

I recall somewhere on the internet that crossfire was a boost LS swap car. Hammond is a joke behind the wheel period, plus Dodge probably told him he couldn't destroy a clutch but could abuse it a bit type thing.

of course that crossfire was highly modified, I was just saying it has a good base to build on

You have to take into consideration that he's driving a brand new $70,000+ vehicle that isn't his. It might not even be broken in yet.

It's not saying that Hammond is a bad driver (if that truly were the case then he probably wouldn't have the job, anyone who knows how to drive a car could outrun a Crossfire in a new Viper).
I'm sure that Crossfire was modded, maybe even running a shot of NOS.

With enough money/mods, almost anything can be made to go fast. There's all sorts of videos on youtube of vans and such running 11s, and there's a LS1 swapped Jeep Cherokee that I've seen at the drag strip around here several years ago that ran 10s.

More cheap car challenges, less of these bullshit car vs public transport episodes.
Wouldn't make a difference if it was a Corolla or a Gallardo Jeremy was driving.
