I dated a girl (Melissa) in high school who was really cute and had a smokin' body. Her parents were really strict and she was too nice for me, so I quit going out with her and moved away shortly after.

Fifteen years later an old classmate tracked me down and we hooked up for a weekend. During the course of the weekend she told me that Melissa had started dating someone after I left, but tried to break it off with him after a few months. Apparently the guy was a nutjob, and he shot her before turning the gun on himself. He died, but she survived. He shot her in the abdomen, and she suffered a spinal cord injury & was paralyzed from the waist down.

Now she looks terrible and talks about jesus 24/7.

She did get married and has a couple of kids, but it makes me sad to think that the cute, wholesome girl
I knew back then has had such a fvcked up life.
