Painting Door Handle Covers
Had someone pop the door handle covers off my car on the driver's side. Looks pretty ugly, but had a hard time finding a replacement part and my shop told me I'd need to replace the whole door mechanism.
Finally was pointed to P/N's 51218241405 & 51218241401 from GetBMWParts and have ordered both. These are primed, but not painted. Is my best bet to order a kit from Paintscratch.com? Looks to make the most sense, though the kits there end up being fairly costly. Also, I'm not quite clear how I will attach these yet. The originals were broken off so there is still plastic remaining. Maybe I'll have to glue them on? Anyone have any experience replacing these? |

The cover on my driver's door broke off, but I was able to reattach with silicone. So far, so good!

I'm a little hesitant to do the keyhole cover as only one of my remote keys still works (other one won't charge or is just broken somehow). Guess I'll look into a Paintscratch kit to get my replacement door lock covers painted steel blue.
