Got a nice pay raise! Now what?
So my boss got canned last week (about time) and I got his job as lead engineer for a team of about 20. The pay raise was substantial in my eyes but I don't really have bills, I invest and put money in savings and my retirement fund. At this point I am considering some modest upgrade to tvs at home and maybe a new sound system for my office but what else?
P.S. The raise was 14k |

save it and buy a house. if you already have a house, put the additional money towards your principle and pretend you didn't get a pay raise. you'll cut your mortgage in half or better.

$14k, was that a typo? you meant $140k. if i had a boss and i received a $14k raise i'd spit in his face. i couldn't wipe my ass with $14k. what a disgrace.
