Anyone done paddle swap into their steptronic

Hi guys,
I have a 2004 330ci.
Bought a SMG M3 steering wheel but just wondering if anyone knows whether the slip ring is same as my 330ci or do I need to buy one so I can do the paddle shift conversion.

Cheers

Don't know if the slip ring is the same but why would you want to do a paddle conversion? The step-tronic is slow as molasses even in manual mode. Do you just want the "cool" factor.

My Ride: slow and steady
Slip ring is different.

PM fgin in the Aus section - he recently did this mod himself and can give you a hand with part numbers etc.

i had to get an auto so my wife can drive it too. i quite often use the manual mode (even though its a bit slow) but would prefer to use paddles to shift, even though its slow

Slip ring is different and u need to fabricate your own cable to run down from the steering column to the shift level. This DIY is doable and will be fun
