New age ugliness: new Lexus IS

I can't believe how ugly it has become.



At least the interior looks nice - has a mixture of 80's and smartphone age.

I kinda like it...makes it more aggressive looking. That's the direction most Lexus models are going now. I saw a new LS this morning and it's gorgeous in person.

The only gripe I would have is the placement of the LED strips, they could be a little higher to be closer to the headlights.

I love the new LS, and that interior on the IS is great. The exterior.....well......maybe it'll grow on me?

The other newer Lexus vehicles look nice.

The headlights need to be a bit larger and have hard edges instead of those godawful squiggles. The rest of it I can deal with.

Also have to remember that this is the F sport model. I'm sure the normal IS models will be a lot more tame looking.

it looks like someone had it setup in microsoft paint, and then pulled the nose in with the "curve" tool.

The grille is hideous

1.) It's a Lexus.

2.) Wow that is a really ugly Lexus.

I like it. And new LS is the t!ts.

It's definitely a different styling from previous generations..
Not quite sure why they made the grill opening "appear" so large when 2/3 of it is NON-functional. (Am I looking at it correctly?)
And, the LEDs they tacked on looks like an afterthought.

The front end sort of reminds me of angry kitty -

yeah thats a pretty bad front end, but im sure it'll be a nice car

If I had Photoshop, I'm sure I could do better. MS Paint will work for now.

Honestly, the whole Lexus lineup looks the same these days. Not just "hey those look similar" but it is to the point where I can hardly tell which model it is unless I read the rear decklid.
Their common grill is getting out of control in the new IS as pictured. I guess they have seen the success of the Audi corporate snout which currently adorning some of the best looking cars on the road and thought they would mimic in their own style. To me the Lexus variety doesn't look as good, but that interior very desirable

^ you sound like people who are ignorant with BMW's lol. It used to be the IS is the only Lexus I liked, now it looks like it's going to be the only one I dislike.

The new Lexus lineup looks good IMO. I am a big fan of the GS350 F-Sport.

Seriously though, the Lexus lineup needs more noticeable differentiation between the models for exterior styling. I completely understand some common styling themes, but Lexus is the biggest offender when it comes to homogeneous looks.

It's a direct reflection of Lexus owners. You build a product that appeals to them as individuals.

Should've made the headlights actually extend down the the led angled strips. Then it would've looked amazing.

Have you not seen the new bmw lineup? They make 1 car in 3 different sizes. Then they make the 1 series.
