Where do you prefer to watch movies...

Do you prefer to watch movies in theaters when they're first released or would you rather watch them at home knowing you have to wait a bit to get your hands on a copy? And what are some the reasons behind your choice?

My man-cave in peace with my own surround sound system cranked. Theatres annoy me, the tool behind ya smacking your chair with his foot, the people talking, the tall a$$ hat in front of you blocking a corner of the screen, etc.

In the comfort of my own home, thank you. It better be a damn good film for us to go to a theater to get stepped on, talked around, distracted, blinded by texters, or shot...

And even though we can afford it, there's something about a $6 Coke that really chaps my ass...

I prefer in the comfort of my own place. Beer is a hell of a lot cheaper and when I'm with a girl fooling around doesn't have to be cut short b/c family night is happening two rows behind you.

I only go to theaters for movies I really want to see the day it is released (eg: DKR). I have a nervous bladder in movie theaters and car rides. I hate getting up in a movie and having to get everyone to move so I can walk by.

I usually see everything within a couple of weeks of release on my laptop anyways.

My couch, without question. The theater has too many things I don't like for it to be very enjoyable (other people making noise, sticky floors, overpriced everything, having to watch the previews, etc). That and the fact that pretty much no movie looks good enough for me to spend $20 when I know in a few months I can watch it for a buck. If it were a truly amazing looking movie I would go, but that is very rare.
