^^^ E46 Compact with S62 (not S64, sry) and M3 wide body&bumpers. Anyday. Too bad compacts weren't offered in US, otherwise I would love a project like that

Edit: Meant to write S62 instead of S64

You should eventually do a front end conversion... That would look AWESOME! But With an m-tech front

That is a BIG no no,
I like the way it is now so it will stay. If I am going through all this hassle it will look like an OEM Compact. If I wanted a diferent front end I would have bought a Limo or a coupe
But... I have a one year and a half toddler, so I am cosidering either buy an F30 335i Touring or buy a cheap 318/320 Touring and a UK M3 (RHD M3 are really cheap) and making an M3 Touring

Ah fair enough... I think compacts are cool, except for the ugly front end and headlights. But thats just my opinion! Good job with the swap though

I have been told so many times, but I feel it is wrong. I know many of you guys doesn't like the Compact Styling but in Europe (Bar the UK) it was sold in huge numbers there are many of us who love the styling but I understand that may not be everyone cup of tea But hell I like it and I could have a coupe or a limo any day.

Yes, the compact sold in very small numbers in the UK and Ireland, so
seeing a nicely specced one is rare. Which is why when our one came up
for sale at a dealers here, we jumped at it. It has factory m tech kit, full
sports leather and bluetooth etc.

I love the styling and it drives brilliantly.

Sergi, i have question for you. Does your gas pedal have cable attached to the throttle? or it is fully electric?
I have a problem, my 2.8 has that cable that goes to the throttle, and on M54B30 it is fully electric, so i dunno should i change gas pedal, or install throttle from 2.8 on M54B30.

Thx

There was a few magazine reports saying that the E46 compact has the best handling of all the E46 line up

I'll try to find it.

Both of my cars has fully electric throttle so I hadn't had the same problem. Now we are waiting for the Quaife LSD to arrive and build a custom gearbox I have chosen the 3,38 gear ratio as I will (funds permitting) install a ESS compressor kit

The fan on the 318 was in bad condition due to mainly the salted roads on the ski resort I use to go... so despite living in sunny Spain we have found a couple of rusted bolts...

It took me a lot of plus gas and swearing to remove them... but here you can see the offending items

And here the fan ready to go in again
