Any FAL guys out there?

I'm really considering picking one up. They don't seem to have taken the price jump AR's have and I've been loving my saiga 308 lately. I figure why not do another battle rifle chambered in 308? Any advise or links to buyer guides would be great.

From what all I've heard, the DS Arms FALs are the ones to get. They're supposed to be the most advanced and well designed.
I really like the SA58 Para Elite Compact the most.

FAL's are gorgeous. I'd like to own one down the road. I simply don't have the cash for it currently.

inch mags have a large lug in the front. you can only use them in inch receivers.
metric mags have a small detent pushed in the sheetmetal. they can be used in metric and inch receivers (loosely in inch ones)

its all about the country made and threads, styles, furniture, etc.
