Saad Racing Turbo Kit makes 659 rwhp@12 psi!!

All we do is make power! We promised you an M3 turbo kit that will not just make the M3 fast, but make the M3 able to compete with and beat the fastest street cars in the country. Tonight we dynoed our M3 with our basic turbo kit, Saad Racing intake manifold with Carbon wrap, Saad Racing flex fuel system and ProEFI. The car still has the stock engine and the factory cat back exhaust and we only ran it at 12 psi. The fuel was a mix of unleaded and E85. We are going to put our cat back exhaust on it and run it on E85 next time, I believe it will be able to make over 700 rwhp at just 12 psi.

Here is a picture of the dyno graph.

Good numbers. I was able to see 760 whp @ 12 psi back in 2009 with twin 68 mm chargers.

Which turbocharger did you have on this run?

You can also raise compression and spool faster, and make more power.

Keep up the good work.

No, this is a 67/66 which is the turbo that comes in our base kit unless a different one is requested. I think its the best choice because the kit is designed so well for flow it brings the turbo on very fast but still allows you some room to "drive under the spool of the turbo". So the car will get good gas mileage and not be spooling every time you move your foot.

Thanks Mike. Yes we did. We made 532rwhp@8.5 psi which is the base boost of the kit. Could have made more but we did not see the need as this is a flex fuel car and I have E85 available to me at the pump. So I just kept the pump gas numbers conservative.

I'm sure that you can run 14-15 psi on pump gas and probably get 700 RWHP. CR is roughly 10-1?

Power isn't measured by just taking the highest number on a dyno run. You need to look at how much horsepower and torque it made through the entire rpm band. Also, remember this is a stock engine, so our tune is conservative. I'm just using this to give people an idea of what there stock engine can make. Post up your dyno sheet and lets compare them, I would be interested in seeing the delta. I'll be building the engine soon, compression will come down but I promise the power will go up

Thanks Larry! I believe stock compression is 11-1. This engine has 100k miles on it and my thought was to be very nice to it, well at least as nice as I can be So we just stopped at base boost with pump fuel, but I know we could have made more.

Any concerns about the head lifting at that power level on the stock motor?

Not at all. The weak part of the stock engine will be the rods long before the head studs. If you have seen blown head gaskets at that power level in the past it was from bad tuning. Engine control is perfect with the ProEFI. Makes tuning very easy. Also, for those that want the kit for there cars. All you would have to do is install all the parts and set fuel pressure the same as our car and I can sell you a ProEFI with the calibration already in it!

The 2JZ swap guys might cringe a little when they hear about this build. Almost 700 rwhp at 12 psi with a little 67mm turbo, on a STOCK motor...It would take 35+ psi on a 6766 to do the same on my little rotary. Good job SAAD

It would certainly take more boost to hit 650 on a 2J !

Thanks! This is very true and what I have been saying all along!! With the right parts and the right tune this platform will be VERY competitive on the streets.
