Walmart still getting normal priced ammo shipments

Got 300 rounds of WWB 9mm today. They restocked the 9mm only today....sold in a few hours though.

I saw one dude buy 3 cases of 308 yesterday for $976!!!! WTF!!!!

Also, scored me some great deals on ammo boxes from a local dealer out here.....50 cal boxes $10....and 40mm boxes..$10.

With Walmart getting stuff in and my local ammo box guy....had a great weekend.

I actually have some ammo to shoot with my friend when he gets back from Bosnia.

Anyone else have any good ammo news?

Not going to say how many total rounds I got over the weekend, but did good for range shooting ammo so I can continue with my hobby.\

Mine has nothing but bones and buzzers last 3 times checked.

Is your walmart 24 hours? I bet they are getting scooped up in the middle of the night.

Nah, You just have to pay attention to when items are put out on the shelves. The local walmarts by me have been fairly cleaned out - but every time I've gone to a Gander Mountain (mid-week only) - they've had ammo. Find out when your local store gets it's shipments and just go there within 24 hours - you should be fine. I was able to get my hands on pmags by doing this too...

100% correct. If you are polite and ask nice, they will tell you when shipment days are. Also, 24hr Walmarts get them at a specific time, but put them on the shelves later. My Walmart knows who the regular shooters are that go to the range and give them the correct information on when to buy ammo. For the people who complain about the new limits on ammo you can buy...or the ones who are just asshats....they will get a different day and time to come....LOL, like Tuesday at Midnight sharp.

Finally found a few boxes of 9mm this weekend as well. Not any markup $11.99 for 50 rds. i was very pleased.

Also finally found a MecGar Mag for my p226 this weekend as well. Slightly marked up, but for $30, i snatched it up fast.

No 9mm to be found around my parts. I went to a few places on friday and nobody had anything. I think I might stop by the wally and meijer close to work to check when they get shipments. Thanks for the tip!

I haven't bought ammo from Wally World in a few years but I'll be going again soon.

On a slightly unrelated note, I swung by my parents house and found 600 rounds of S&b 9mm sitting in a box under my bed. Freaking made my day!! That brings me back over 2500 rounds of range ammo.

I'm just now walking out of a local walmart. Found the guy in charge of sporting goods and asked him about shipments. He told me walmart has a freeze on all ammo orders, even scanned a 9mm barcode and showed me the screen...when he scanned it, the order thing beeped and said it cannot be ordered. :rollseyes:

Walmart - Bass Pro - Cabela's - Sports Authority.

I find myself frequenting these stores now looking for .223 in particular.

Wal-mart and Bass Pro gets in 9mm all the time. Haven't checked SA in about a week.

Ended up picking up a new Para P14 1911 .45 last weekend at Bass Pro instead of bullets

Sorry man, i'm actually up in Dallas now..... I'm shocked you can't find any in Austin... the most Liberal city in Texas....

Guy at my local Walmart said they just got a shipment in. He said it would be stocked later that day. I checked in the next day at lunch time and everything was gone besides some .40 ammo. I got 4 boxes for my G23. I guess the trick is to ask and keep checking back!

They sell 9mm in spam cans here. .45 and .40 are flying off the shelves.

Only stuff I can normally find on the shelves out here is 40 and 45. Just got me 200 rounds of 556 in from Cabela's today though. One shop in town has a ton of 10mm left, but I am in no rush to buy it for my Glock 20 since I have the 40 conversion kit. Right now I am still looking for bricks of CCI Mini Mags in 22LR.

When I am not looking locally, I use slickguns and ammoseek.

Yeah I'm honestly surprised at the availability of .45

.45 has always been available here.... One reason why I just picked up a 1911
