Location of Fuel Pump Check Valve

Car is 2002 BMW 330Ci. Searched Bentley manual and Google to no avail.
Is there a check valve or non-return valve in the fuel delivering system somewhere?
Is it in/on the fuel pump or somewhere along the fuel delivery system?
If it could be replaced independently could you provide a part number?

I don't know much about the MS43 and newer but for mS42, there is a 3/2 valve that helps regulate the flow of fuel to and from the fuel pressure regulator.

I know that your car has a built in fuel pressure regulator at the fuel filter. there is a single fuel line that runs to your fuel rails. MS42 has two fuel lines. Also, your car burns off residual fuel after you turn off your engine.

Most all of the fuel pump check valves are built into the fuel pump and are non serviceable.

Not sure what problem or issue you are trying to resolve?

Suggest you read the 2nd link below in my signature regarding fuel pump issues.

Fuel pump works fine with 50 psi. But as soon as it stops pumping, fuel pressure drops to zero. I'm planning to replace the fuel filter first to see if that helps.

Fuel filter will doubtful resolve your problem, but it should be replaced anyway. It is possible the fuel pressure regulator inside the filter is not holding pressure?

If you pressure drops to 0, then you either have a bad fuel pump, a bad pressure regulator valve (inside fuel filter), a fuel leak between the pump and the engine, or a leaking injector(s).

Good luck with sorting it out, but be prepared to replace the fuel pump if the filter does not help your situation.
