does my stereo have aux input capability?

I bought this radio of ebay to replace the old stereo on my 2000 330xd (business with the casette deck and cd changer) thinking it would have aux input capability but I have some issues with it, can anyone offer some advice?

1. the aux doesn't seem to work, I bought an aux cable off ebay, but cycling through the "mode" button doesn't bring up an "aux" mode. Does this unit have an aux mode? how to activate it?
2. The antenna from my old stereo doesn't seem to fit on this unit, is there a simple conversion?
3. there is an additional small cable on the old unit which i suspect is some grounding cable, but on the new unit there isn't a connection for it, can I safely leave it off?

That unit is Feb 2002. September 2002 is the first date with aux input.
