Joe Scarborough Called The NRA 'Sick' For Its New Shooting Game

Joe Scarborough added a new chapter to his continued assault on the National Rifle Association on "Morning Joe" today, calling the organization "sick" for releasing a new video game that allows users to take target practice.
Scarborough held up the cover of the New York Daily News, which slammed the NRA for releasing the game on the one-month anniversary of the elementary-school massacre in Newtown, Conn.

"How sick is this?" Scarborough said, pointing to the cover. "How sick are these people ... that have commandeered the NRA into an extremist organization? ... How many millions of dollars have people made over the slaughter of innocents? And now this?"

Scarborough lamented what he saw as the demise of the organization, saying
"their extremism is destroying them." He showed new polls that display wide support for a variety of new gun legislation, saying the numbers "were breaking because of NRA extremism."

"If they keep their feet in cement," Scarborough said of the association, "they're going to be run over - not by Joe Biden, but by middle America, by people that want to protect their children."

Bad timing on the NRA.

Americans, on average, think that we have more than adequate laws... 48 to 38.. pretty big margin.

5% think the rules are too strict as they are.. so it's perfectly reasonable to add them to the category of "already think we have enough laws" for the sake of this point.

You are correct. A majority voted that way. Simply because I disagree with the result of that polling doesn't somehow discount that reality.

For Scarborough and others in the liberal media who are claiming that the majority of americans want stricter gun control, they are flat out ignoring reality.

Fair enough.

Perhaps, or at least of a year or two ago. Look at those trend lines though and while they perhaps reflect one or two of the recent slaughters, they unlikely reflect the Sandy Point tragedy which I suspect will have a seminal impact on American opinion regarding gun laws and gun control. I would imagine that graph will read very differently come 2014. So it will be interesting to follow how those views are quickly evolving now. The NRA, with their exceedingly tone deaf and insular pronouncements certainly aren't doing themselves any favors.

Gun laws are like abortions and alcohol. If you don't like them, don't use them.
If someone does not use them appropriately, punish them, just like DUI's.

We aren't going to stop hearing about gun control until there is another disaster like a tsunami, earthquake or terrorist attack.

More Americans want same or stricter gun control than same or less strict. Besides, what is it to you what the "majority" wants. When they majority agrees with you and the government does something else, they're going against the "will of the people". When the majority disagrees with you, they're idiots and shouldn't be listened to.

GoldenEye was beyond legit.

Let us not forget that the polling is only this clue due to an outright media blitz against gun rights that has been going on. It might as well be election season again.

One of my biggest regrets in life was selling my N64 on eBay with 20+ games, 4 controllers and a steering wheel setup to get cash to buy a new XBOX. The stupid things we do when we're young.

lol that hurts, I know a lot of people that did that. I played mine all the time through college and post college at 4AM after the bar. Dominating GoldenEye and rainbow road.

Those two were my favorites. Mario Kart had such great replay value. Both were awesome for multiplayer.
