Funny you say "Kewl" there is a white 3 E90 I pass every day on the way to work with a euro plate that reads KEWL-1.. his rear ohio plate reads the same

What makes the way you personalized you car the correct way? If everyone did the same exact thing to their cars this would be a boring ass world.. There are tons of stuff on your cars I would never dream of doing, but they are your cars and I respect that you love them.. I would never "laugh" at or anything else.. basically.. dont be a dick, Man.. Just sayin

OP, if you want a euro plate get your real plate numbers like I did for the E21



...and the ONLY reason I did this is I haven't gotten around to spending >$2000 on gorgeous euro bumpers for a car that cost me $1400, stock US bumpers have holes cut out for the license plate frame

OP, go for it. I see plenty of people with very catchy and cool looking euro plates. Just have your regular plates somewhere visible for cops to see.

I have custom plates that I do not want to reveal all over a public forum.

For them it provides the same mental rush. For a $10 emblem, puff.....you got yourself into a "M" car. If it works for those people......great for them, how easy to be inflated.

I prefer to look at a naked car, whatever the car. No stickers, painted wheels, sparkly doodads. Naked. Same as the day it was born.

That's me. I know a number of guys here who adorn their cars with stuff and I like 'them,' just think their car would look better naked.

Some recall I once wrote a whole long thing about how I hate license plate frames that promote anything. If there's a silhouette of a beagle or something, that's fine (not really), but get rid of the $1 plastic plate the dealer put on it and put on a black frame. You can choose--gloss or satin finish. I'm sorry, but I used to think stainless was okay, but Ive changed my mind...black it must be...no chain frame, no shamrock, University affiliation, or favorite sports team. If, though, you are in the military or have a relative in one...that's okay by me. I'll drive safely around you and watch your back for you!

Euro plates make me smile...as much from the plates I've seen as just from the fact that you have them...IDK why exactly. I think it's because I feel superior that I don't have one! I've seen then sitting on the dash, wedged behind other plate, mounted in addition to the required one off to the tow hook. When I see them, I think about the same as brightly painted calipers or wheels...they are a distraction and take away from the visual appeal of the whole car. You're not making the car look nicer in my eyes. I know you think that little ornamentation adds some 'flair' to it...I agree...and think of the movie (Office something?) where Jennifer Anniston had to wear a minimum of 14 pieces of flair on her apron.

I prefer my cars naked....

Don't know what to suggest, but love having my europlate in front. This is the way my car came, as I picked it up in Munich via European delivery. I think it looks pretty cool, and it distinguishes my car. And ten years ago it was practically the only plate like that in the state. Front license plates are currently required in Connecticut, but I've never had a problem.

I actually have two, one that's a generic random number plate. And my nickname on the other. It stands me out in the crowd. Although the trend is catching on I'm seeing a lot more euro cars with them.... Although my angel eyes havnt been burnt out yet lol.

Make it unique to yourself. Took me a while to come up with one.

About the same as you putting M style front bumpers on non-M cars. You did it because you obviously like the way it looks. And Im sure that is why he wants the plate.
