dome light clips

i just installed led's through-out my interior and im having a problem getting the dome light/map light to be mounted back right. its loose when i get it in and the clips dont seem to be going in right. anyone else have this problem and a fix?

Look on the inside of the headliner. You will see metal pin-type protrusions built into it. The dome light clips into these. It is very easy to bend them downwards on removal.

Very carefully take a pair of pliers (the ones in your trunk will work just fine, but needlenose is much easier) and bend them back into the proper shape. At least one of those clips should be in the right orientation. Gently manipulate the bent ones to that angle.

You don't want to break these, otherwise you'll be having a bad, bad day. I can't think of any easy way to fix them if they break.
