Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire.

You seriously need another? I know it's for your daughter- maybe get a case for your iPad and let her use it.

Its latest OTA is ICS
but if you consider spending more

the nexus 7 is really nice tablet, I got a 32g for I think it was 260$

again the resolultion for daily use plus that its JB 4.1.2. and easy choive over the nook, the hd, and even over the galaxy tab 7.

It is missing a sd card slot, but I already have a thinkpad tablet with hdmi out sdcard usb and stylus so it didnt matter. And who needs a back camera.

this 100$ one is going to be nice for you kid, load it up with a bunch of ripped nickjr shows and use mxvideo to play them, bam instant on board entertainment system.

both my kids can navigate any androd device with ease. They pick it up very young.

nexus has the highest resolution screen.

More icon per row.

if this 100$ tablet has 5 icons per row the nexus will have 7 icons. More crispy looking, more area, within the same 7 inch screen.

Jb is jellybean the newest operating system for android. its smoother and just better.

This is fascinating that kids this young can operate tablets, I think I got my first PC when I was 12 and it looked to me like some sort of magic box.

Ics. ice cream sandwich which is a great os. The newest is jellybean but other than google now and some minor tweaks called project butter which takes advantage of higher end video processors . It is basically same thing.

It prob will not support jellybean without tinkering with it. But no big deal.

its 50$ better. Slightly lower resolution(very slightly) but slightly faster(again very slightly)

cant go wrong with both but theres somethinga bout a 100$ tablet, becasue we all poop 100$

def a better buy but for 50 dollars more you can go nexus 7

never heard of it. I mean, anything can have a cracked screen if it gets dropped on a hard surface. Put a case on it and call it a day.

Just looked around for a few minutes and couldn't really find anything cheaper than retail prices for the Nexus (some are even listed higher :loco). The used market for them is pretty much non existent. Everybody likes them too much

But seriously, this is the best bang for your buck by far.

I have a Nexus 7 and it's freaking fantastic. Image quality, operation, OS... all run really well. It's a great way to separate yourself from a laptop/desktop and just media-out on the couch.
