E46 alarm oem help

I searched the first page for it but didn't find my answer to what I needed. Please don't flame me for it as I know you probably know the answer.
Today I found out I have the actual oem alarm installed.
I have the sensors for tilt and lights blink and I've also tested the alarm and it works. However no noise comes out when I lock unlock. Is there a way for me to do this without taking to the stealership?(oh the irony)

You need the OEM scanner to code for the beep, either stealership or indie

You 2 deserve the banhammer.

Every noob and his mom already knows about the BMW Scanner 1.4.
Serg, its about $30 and you'll be able to do everything you ever hoped and dreamed with your car.

Theres a huge thread on it somewhere.

Well indie it is, according to bmw my car doesn't have an alarm system and that the lights aren't supposed to flick while closing. He said if I had an alarm that it would be in the drug bin. Hmmmm sureeeee and he said he could look at it and try to see what he could for half an hour which was 70+tax

Is that an actual picture of your car in the original post?
All e46's have alarm capabilities. It is build into the computer. If you connect the siren, tilt and motion sensor or any one of them you can activate it. Even if you have none of them, you can program the lights to flash with PA soft 1.4 by clicking on a box. That mechanic burned you and now you owe me $70 as well because you just learned something.

Edit: get PA 1.4 or post a thread in the regional section asking for codeing from a fellow fanatic. Good luck.

Sounds like you have all the parts and info to get your alarm working the way you want. You just need to get the coding. Search the PA Soft 1.40 thread for more info than you can imagine. Then buy it for yourself,or have a fanatic hook you up.

The previous owner had it coded off/disabled if there is actually a factory alarm installed.

@ Sergzam - Post in the regional section for someone to enable your alarm.

Re: E46 alarm oem help

Hate to dig up an old thread, but I want to clarify.

Even without a factory alarm (or any of the individual components) I can still program the lights and audible indicator for when I lock or unlock the car using soft?
