I'm nearing 70k miles on my M and thinking about replacing my struts and coils. When did you guys replace coil springs and or both, and should I go oem or switch to coilovers? I was thinking PSS10.

Unless your springs are damaged there is no reason to replace them. Shocks usually last around 60k miles.

I had my car check for rtabs and one of the recommendations was replace cool springs. So I assume they are towards the end of their life cycle

The life cycle for a spring is a long, long time unless they're badly corroded, broken, or sagging. By long time I mean they usually last the life of the car. They're not a wear item like shocks.

At 70k miles I doubt your springs are bad, but given your location I suppose it's possible. I'd get a second opinion before buying new springs.

Sorry, didn't see your post. So if anything, should I go oem or is this a good time to switch to coilovers?

Switching to coil-overs is a personal decision. You can just replace your shocks with some koni shocks.

Just replace shocks. If you want to lower your car get some lowering springs.
