I stay home. No sense in wasting had when its so cold out there.
But once the weather gets warm, I go fishing to the mountain lakes. No need to tell mom, but I am twice your age OP.

pick up fishing as a hobby. Just tell them you are going fishing. You can leave for the whole day and come back empty handed, no questions asked. And when you do land a catch, even better.

Gasoline = $3+ a gallon (let's leave it at $3 so the math is easy).

Car being driven gets ~20 MPG (let's leave it at 20 so the math is easy).

Say you drive, oh, 120 miles just driving around. That's 6 gallons, or $18.

Think of it this way: 18 divided by 120, = $0.15 a mile on gas alone (not counting insurance, depreciation, wear-and-tear, etc.). Picture your window rolled down, and every time you drive a mile, you're tossing a dime and a nickel out the window. At sixty miles an hour, you're tossing $9 out the window every hour. Perhaps your allowance will cover this, or your part-time job pays more than $9 an hour. Good for you! Otherwise, aimless burning of precious fossil fuels may not be the best financial idea ever...

Having said all that, however, I must admit I drive often and aimlessly myself, just for the sheer joy of being on the road in a fun vehicle, so don't take this to mean I disapprove of your for-the-hell-of-it drives...
gas for 3$ agallon in Ireland its 7 euros agallon if stay under 50 freewheel on hills I get 52------58

Tires get flat spots if left sitting in driveway too long.

Might be true, might be false...I have no evidence.

Take him fishing as well. Probably you both will like it.

It's a nice hobby, you get to relax, drive and get some great shots if you are into photography. I do, and I have my fishing rods and gear all the time in my trunk. If you catch some fish you will have a nice fresh dinner on the table, that will make mom happy too. Even went I've fishing last week.

It's a cheap hobby as well, most of the equipment is on sale being winter time. Pick up a couple of rods and get fishing.

Tell them you're going to meet your drug dealer.

I'm sure it goes through every parents mind when their kid just randomly leaves and comes back in a little bit with nothing lol

ITT: OP needs good excuses to leave the house and smoke bud.

I always found things my mom needed me to pick up from the store for the house, turned chores into smoke sessions.
