But no hypocrisy here.
People, including RNC donors, were upset with that because she spent nearly $200,000 of donor funds to buy clothing.

I do agree, however, that the focus on what people are wearing goes a bit over the top.

Because of the hypocracy of it all... complaining day and night about Palin's wardrobe during the 2008 election and now spending absurd amounts of time discussing Michelle's wardrobe, comparing her to a disney princess, and interviewing the designer about the first lady's elegant fashion sense..

And that's AFTER daily attacks from the left.. including a COVER STORY in the NY Times on it : http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/23/us...alin.html?_r=0

This is the first lady not Madonna.. Michelle should have better things to do that photo sessions with magazines so they can run her mug on the covers of fashion magazines.

And this is just a TINY sampling :

Potential vice presidential responsibilities =/= first lady responsibilities. I'm not sure why you're concerned with how she spends her time.

To be honest, it's not about how she spends her time. Rather, I'm frustrated with this notion that the president should be a celebrity. Bill Clinton walked a fine line but kept himself presidential. George W was rather reserved and like his privacy. Now we have the Obamas and I feel it's a dangerous path. If the next president (whoever it should be) reverses course, I'd be a happy camper.. but if this is the beginning of a new trend, I'm rather fearful as to where it will lead.

Go read about the Kennedy family and get back to me.....focus in on the style icon/celebrity that was Jackie O. It must be exhausting to find so much concern/disgust with issues that really don't matter.

You watched for 30 minutes. I think you were just as interested as most. So Chase, who were the 2 designers they narrowed down too? Vera Wang? Valentino Garavani?

On a side note. What did everyone think of her hair? Fabulous!!

Ronald Reagan was a celebrity, got voted in, and according to some of you that weren't even alive during his terms thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. This "celebrity" thing started well before BHO and Michelle!

Jacqueline Kennedy was not a big fan of having the media photograph her children. She wanted her private family life to be left out of the sight of the public.
