Stick with gas, go with something preowned and Japanese. Honda Fit, Civic, Corolla, etc.

Look at SKODA OCTIVA V R S DIESEL 60 MPG ,FASTER THEN PETROL MODELS IF U CAN GET TEST DRIVE ,find an open road just put your FOOT DOWN &WATCH THE SPEEDO? WE HAD AN 2007 ONE ,CHANGED END OF 2012 FOR 2011 OCTIVA V R S ! HAD 2006 GOLF 2 LTR DIESEL BEFORE THAT not as fast as vrs, but gave notrouble ,2002 Golf tdi before that my sons mate is still driveing it around,SORRY THAT WE LET IT GO OUT OF THE FAMILY ! I CAN RECOMEND ANY OF THEM: FRED.

I am sorry that was for USA, however I am sure Canada has very similar deals on their Mazda3s. I could find out tomorrow for sure if you like.

Volkswagen TDI are extremely good on gas. The Jetta TDI Cup Edition even looks sick as f*ck too

They have crazy lease offers in the us. $200/month zero down at signing and 0% apr for the first year I think. Leasing isn't my thing but if I were to lease I'd definitely look at one

I wish they brought the vw polo blue tech to the us if they did, this thread wouldn't exist because that's the best non hybrid Eco car hands down.
