It's fun knowing all the spots he filmed it from. My favorite is there right above Sausalito where it pours over like this massive endless spill of cold air.

Also that video demonstrates the thing I love most about living here, there's no place I've been with a greater sense of dynamism and aliveness in the environment, it's a remarkable and wonderful experience.

It sure would make actually buying a home a lot easier... And what, you don't like us snooty San Franciscans? I recall it recently being voted the snobbiest city in the country, and I can't say I'm terribly surprised, but hey, what can you expect when you have a population so in love with its city?

Hey Eric, do you by chance follow Karl the Fog on instagram? The stories and poems he puts up with the photos are great.

Also for those who may not remember, Simon Christen also did the earlier popular time lapse video back in 2010.

The Bold Italic did an interview with him on the project,

Recycle/reuse old things... why not?
I need to start making furniture out of old computer parts.. I have a ton of those at my disposal. Jet parts, not so much...

Why has this not been in my life longer?

Well on a slightly less (but still very cool note), this music video has some awesome footage/animation.

The footage is taken from Disneynature's Oceans.

Or at the least, it's taken from the same source Disney got it from. And I agree, it's pretty cool.

Did you end up seeing it? Is there much footage of the sort in these videos? If so I'll have to give it a download.

Well, if you're interested in the boat-crashing-through-big-wave shots, most of what I remember from the movie is in the music video you posted. So you may have seen all that already.

But if you're interested in Blue Planet/Planet Earth style nature documentaries with shots of fishies and sharkies and whalies and walrusies, then it's for sure worth a watch.

The got some of the best underwater whale footage I've ever seen and got some excellent great white and walrus shots, too.
