Thankfully the 3 series was produced by the millions and any one of the alarm components are compatible between any e46. (Some exeptions apply to verts)
You can find all the components on ebay,or most any e46 classifieds section,or any car parts recycler/junk yard.

I order one on line and they told me is in back order from Germany and will take 4-6 week for $445. I cancel my order and went to ebay and found everything I need to do it for $206. I have all the parts numbers if anyone needs them.

Where is the motion sensor on the vert? It's in the roof in my 530i, but I know it won't be there on my wife's vert.

The vert doesn't use the motion sensor

Actually found out you can have a motion sensor in the vert...ECS sells a euro alarm set for $399 that includes motion sensors that go off if someone reaching into the car if the top is down, or going through the top.

You can easily add a motion, shock and Dual Zone sensor to your car. Dual Zone is good for verts to detect anyone reaching in while your top is down... You can use the previous link that I showed you and run all of these together for a fraction of the price. Works fine for me.
