Today was back day / pull up day for me. I did a set of 10 for each of 4 varying grips, then other various back machines / exercises, then a set of 3 at each grip, then assisted 5 at each grip and assisted 7 at each grip.

What is considered wide grip? I think I do shoulder width. And I don't go full lock but i go down far enough for it to count.

I think by wide grip I confused it with traditional grip. Excessively wide grip just works different parts of your back I think, but in this case I'm just referring to shoulder width apart and dead hang to adams apple above bar.

IMO proper pull-up = no kipping, dead hang, chin above bar not just to, legs kept straight & uncrossed, no hand adjustments, no hanging to shake out arm/s.

Can do 20 using any grip, up to 30 using normal shoulder width grip; on that note, a buddy of mine is a former gymnast, I've seen him do double that!
