Need Internet service advice for Boston

My brother is doing his master's at Northeastern University. He is renting an apartment that is close to the university. Any recommendations for the cheapest reliable Internet service? It doesn't have to be super fast just reliable and stable.

Maybe he should wait until he gets there.

I imagine that in a densely populated area like Boston, especially with all the college students, that there might be a good chance he could get free internet service over an unsecure line.

He is already there and attending school. The apartment building offers free Wi-Fi but it is really slow and not reliable. He just wants to get something a little better that is stable without the hiccups.
