I'm new to the forums and a new to the xi. I also own a 318ti, but picked up this one a month or so ago. Its completely stock minus the wheels. Thought I'd share some photos. Nothing fancy but enjoyable.

No you don't. I like it lowered a little, but plenty of members here are quite happy with stock height.

No lowering here. This car will is my primary winter driver. I'm expecting I will need the stock ride height.

Thanks for the compliments. I've got a great set of tires on it now for the summer. The wheels actually came on my 318 ti, but were badly needed on this car to replace the stock wheels. Also, I live in Eau Claire.

Its actually an old Uniroyal Tire Factory. Right down the road from my house. How much is yours lowered and do you end up running over many snow/ice chunks that rub the bottom?

I live in Minneapolis and my car is lowered on Eibachs. I don't have any problems with ground clearance, I've yet to find anything that I can't go over/plow through.

...If there is a time where ground clearance/more plowing power is needed, I have a Ford Expedition that can go through damn near everything.

Great to hear. I also have a chevy truck for the real winter driving. Lowering would be realistic for my driving needs, and sounds like a fun project. I've been reading plenty of threads regarding the pros and cons of doing it. Little extra maintenance doesn't bother me. I only will only be putting about 4-5 thousand miles on it a year any way.

I'm on Eibachs too. I live on a dirt road and have never been stuck or had any clearance issues. My wheels do seem to collect a bit of snow on the insides though..
