The next step of my Technique Tuning turbo setup.

Well I've been at this fit a long time now but I just recently got by own garage. ...

Anyways all I'm waiting on now is money for the clutch.

So I'm shooting for 450whp, I'm not sure if it's possible..... tell me what you guys think.

This is what I have compared to the TT stage 2

14.5 psi /13psi
.82ar exhaust/.63ar
ZHP cams/oem

I'm not sure if that's worth 75 hp/tq but I hope it's close.

Anything I should change, add, or do differently while it's still out?

What exhaust are you running? We are fairly close and could help you with your goals.

+1 for the results! I'm on the fence on trading in my wife's 05 330 ZHP 6spd sedan for a 335 M-Sport. The car has been bulletproof for me since day 1, just needs more power!

I'd wager that a 330 with Nick's kit would be more reliable than a 335i...

A newer twin turbo 3 L putting out 300bhp vs a single turbo 3L putting out over 400. This is not why I started this but I feel life the engine that was designed for the turbos all be more reliable. ....... Just me though

I agree- that'd be the normal, logical conclusion. However, the N54 has been far from reliable. From the turbos to the waste gate to the HPFPs.

The N55 seems better. But it doesn't have much headroom.

What do 2 X 2.5" exhaust pipes flow? The TT kits re-use the OEM exhaust and see well over 300rwhp....I imagine the Magnaflow to be a bit better....

did Nick tune your DME for the extra boost and new cams or are you just running a base stage 2 tune?

perhaps Nick or even PEI can answer, are there any potential dangers in running a base tune that was made for less boost and different cams or is it a small enough change that the car can safely adapt?

DME can Adv or Retard so much Timing and can Adj -/+ the whole fuel map on the ms45. The DME can only do so much. It is best not to drive it until Dyno Tune is done or Street Tune with Datalogging all the important parameters..

I've been trying to find the thread where the Magnaflow was supposedly "tested" and came up as a bottleneck. Calling Rob43 for clarification!

Was curious on the opinions of others in regards to the issue. I completely agree with both of your viewpoints "wtf is this guy talking about" LOL

It was Jae and he is boosted. It was the rear muffler and the Y to the tips. That was causing the high whine pitch noises....

How do you guys feel about putting an electric cut out right before the cat? I've read that turbos are best with no exhaust at all. if so any brand recommendations?

Those things don't have the best reliability record. I would PM Cameron (HighboostingM3) on BFc....I seem to remember he has some other brand of cutout that he's really happy with.

Looking at doing this myself as well....as I really don't want to run nitrous exhaust through a cat.
