Bmw orrrrr?

Ok so I am debating on getting a bmw z4 probably around 2004 or a VW gti probably around 06-08 range. In all seriousness what do you guys think? It's just me so a two seater is ok I also have a 323i so if I need to drive people or whatever. Overall they are around the same price range. But what are your opinions?

How does he like it? Would I be getting more power out of the gti or the z4?

He likes it a lot. The 2.0T is a good motor that is in a lot of VW/Audi cars. With a stage 2 tune and supporting mods, you can get 250+hp and close to 300tq and still get 30+MPG on the highway. Z4 is a different car, being RWD and inline 6.

True, I'd like to stick to the bmw scene but I don't know about the power of the z4 any ideas of other bmws around the same price and power range ?

You won't make as much power from an NA motor than you would a turbo motor.

That gen GTI is hideous.

I'd rather buy a MKIV R32 than a MKV GTI.

Also, I'd never consider a Z4 in my life.

Buy what you want. But both of the cars you listed aren't really worth it, nor are they fun (unless if we're talking Z4M...in which case, go for it).

Understandable. Could you mention some bmw models that you would say are fun and great models? I know of course m3 but anything else?

Ill be nice and give you a real/realistic suggestion.

Just buy an e36 m3 and throw some coilovers on it, obd1 intake conversion and do the exhaust: headers and all and you'll have one of the most fun cars for the the price that will destroy cars 50x it's price on the track. And it'll sh!t all over a z4 or gti/r32 in a straight line or in the turns for a lot less.

An E36 M3 is an awesome car.

My neighbor just picked up a white one...I can't help but stare every time I drive by.
