Opinions on best Headlight options and Angel Eyes

Hello fellow BMW fanatics! I drive a 2002 325i and this summer I really want to upgrade my headlights/ or install new headlight assemblies. I'm sure you are all familiar with the film that develops over time on E46 headlights. Such an eye-sore. I've been researching about what headlights to use, i.e. HID, projector headlights. (dont really think i want to go back to halogen bulbs). I really like all of the angel eye upgrades(definitely going to go with LEDs) as well. I guess my question is would it make more sense to install new headlight assemblies with angel eyes already pre-installed or would it be better to replace the lens covers, install new HID or projector headlights, and then go with the LED angel eyes? What are the best options for headlights and angel eyes? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

I've heard lots of good things about the Orion V2 Angel Eyes. Is the light output good with those projector xenon bulbs?

I've also heard that some projector bulbs scatter light very badly. Did you have to adjust the beam pattern once you installed them?

No, these work perfect once installed. Just level the lights after they are installed onto the car.

But cost wise, I could buy two new plug and play assemblies that are good quality for cheaper than the new lens covers, retrofit kit, and Orion V2 Angel eyes. But there are probably more of an advantage with buying the latter. I suppose I must think of this as an investment in quality vs. price.

The answer is: it depends
If you buy a complete headlight assembly like our Projector46, you pay $389 for the headlight with angel eyes - Orion V2 - and new projectors and new headlight covers. But you don't get the bixenon option which is part of the better light output option. For about $200 more, you'd get then the best possible option.

Yeah, really good light output is high up on my list. I mean, it just makes sense if your going to upgrade, you should go ahead and buy the product that is going to give you the best lighting options, combining safety and looks.

Also, the Morimoto Mini H1 projectors sound like a rally good option, but how much better are the FX-R bi xenon prjectors?

We sell the same exact thing - just don't name it as such. But the FXR offers a wider pattern with sharper cut off. However, it's much much harder to install on halogen lights, though it's less difficult for us to install on Projector46s than the HI Bixenon M-Style Projectors.
