Weird request, maybe one of you can help

I'm looking for a temperature profile for the first ~25 miles up. I need actual numbers, not a graph. I've found some stuff on NASA's site but nothing I can use so far. I sent a message to a friend who works for NOAA, he should be able to help. People on reddit flip their sh!t if something is in the wrong subreddit

I use US Standard 1976. Still an industry benchmark for aerodynamics. But there are many variations of the standard, including geo-specific locations. But I doubt you are going into that much detail.

Here is an online version that is good enough for government work. US Standard Atm 1976

The second value with the - infront of it is the temperature (it's a minus because it's below zero, not for spacing), values above 24000 are always negative so the minus goes away.

Those are the values over Wilmington, figure it's the closest place to you, but you can look at the map and figure the rest out. Sorry I can't help with the remaining 15 miles, but the winds and temperatures get fairly stable in the stratosphere.

Nice, thanks man. I just need data for some point on earth. Depending on where you are on the way up, the temperature drops, goes back up, drops, steadies off slightly, and goes back up. I'm going overboard on a model I'm building for a computational physics class. We're supposed to use a generalized function but I want to set it up to use a decently well fitted function depending on the height you enter in.

Snow
