Hey at least that stupid cvnt exempted herself and the rest of government types from it

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/...ls_697732.html
"Mrs. Feinstein's measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials, law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel," the Washington Times reports.

The Huffington Post confirms these exemptions,

Why are police and retired police allowed to personally own "murder weapons"?

I think supporters of democratic PACs should also be exempted from this law.

What does "retired law enforcement" mean? Can I get deputized by my kick-ass sheriff (one of the OR guys who sent the letters to Biden), and then retire 15 minutes later?

Love how every big government law has an exemption for government types

Im sure this means you serve your 20 years (or whatever is required) and retire from the force.

They ban magazines with greater than 10 rounds, but who's banning a magazine that holds smaller magazines?

Highlights from my quick read:

Banned:

Pistols with threaded barrels.
Semi-auto shotguns with mag for more than 5 rounds.
Receivers alone count as a"semiatuomatic assault weapon".

Can't sell magazines that you currently own that can hold more than 10 rounds.

Illegal not to lock up your AW unless you are carrying it or its sitting right by you.
All Grandfathered AW's need to be transferred through FFL - including gifts and loans.

Stuff of interest on the list of exempted guns:

M-1 Carbine with fixed stock
M-1 Garand
Marlin Camp Carbine
Mini 14's w/o folding stock
SKS
Ruger 10/22's without folding stock.

And then they list a ton of lever action, pump and bolt action guns and single shot guns so that they can say that they exempt a sh1t ton of guns so the fudds will be ok with this. They even individually exempt 40 different models of Remington 700's by name. " . . .shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich . . ." There's like 100 pages of this.

And there's a bunch of stuff that you can't understand without cross referencing other laws.

Crazy. I may need to go out and buy whatever high-cap mags I'll ever need for guns that I might just buy in the future. Maybe some Min-14 mags or something.

This will be nuts if it actually passes.

So I don't have time to read through the whole document since I'm at work, but are .22 rimfire models exempt? i.e. S&W M&P15-22?

Nope. Some are even mentioned by name as banned.

Reading some articles. Seems they need all 55 Democrats in the Senate, and 5 Republicans to vote for the ban. They're saying 10 Democrats have already spoke out against the ban, and only one Republican is for the ban.

You have more confidence in Feinstein's bill than Feinstein herself has in it.
I think there is something to be said...

+1

she has even come out and said it has very little chance of passing.

all it helps if her next campaign. won't pass, just a publicity stunt to help her maintain her job that pays her too much.
