Exclamation Auto Leveling Headlights not leveling :(

2001 325i Sport PKG with Xenon self leveling headlights
110,xxxmi

I remember them going up/down every now and then when turning headlights on. I inspected the sensors (front R/H & rear R/H) and they seem to be intact.

The only thing I find suspicious is the lever connecting the sensor bracket to control arm. It looks bent? IDK if its the design and how it could have been damaged down there,

Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot? Thanks!

Pictures of the arm will help, but I doubt that's the culprit.

When you turn the car on, the headlights still do their dip and raise check correct? It's just when driving they don't adjust the level dynamically right?

Don't go for looks alone. My front sensor looked fine too, but it was electrically dead. Replaced the front sensor and the lights are perfect now.

It's not an overly expensive part, stealership charged me $85 (tax inclusive) which is pretty fair.

They do not do the raise/lower check! That's my problem. Bad sensor?

So maybe its the sensor and not the bracket. Any ways of troubleshooting the sensor only?
