Hey man, I'm from EG/Warwick area.. a good friend of mine has a shop down in the Richmond area, L&H Automotive, good guys and fair prices. I also have a friend that has been working at Sears next to the Warwick Mall. Level 3 tech, been there almost 7 years, does everything from head gaskets to engine swaps. This is a good route if you have a sears credit card and need to charge it. Lastly, if you want a performance shop, take a trip to http://www.brentuning.com There is also one other shop that one of my best friends works at, Bruce Beard Automotive in Middletown. Very nice indy shop that specializes in Euro cars, has all the latest diag tools/GT1. Good luck.

And then there's always Inskip on rt.2 for parts and whatnot.

Hi Jesse,,,I'm over in Warren...Thanks for the info !!! Does your buddy at Sears do any side work ???

On top of the list right now is getting the front & rear diff oil changed & transfer case and tranny fluid changed,,,then I will need valve cover gasket and OFHG done as well & ccv and vanos & plugs,,,then cooling system & pully's,then front axles (boots are torn) and Guibo...

What's the labor Rate at L&H Automotive ??? I'm working on a customers boat down in Narragansett for the next few months ,so your friends at L&H might be a good option ,Are they customer friendly & will they install parts I buy ??? Can I watch and learn while they are working on the car ??? I have a friend that owns a garage over in Riverside and he has maintained my vehicles over the years but has never serviced any Bmw's...If I had a shop to put the car in I would happily do most of the wrenching myself but being winter time I'm not so thrilled about working on it outside so I'm looking for someone or a shop that charges a fare price...

Thanks !!!

Pete

No problem. My good friend that works at Bruce Beard Automotive does A LOT of side work, and is always looking for more. If you're interested i'll set something up with you and give you his number if Newport isn't too far from you. My friend down at L&H is chill, he owns the shop with another guy. They turbo'd an M3 a while ago. Also I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem installing aftermarket parts. I believe the labor rate was in the $70-$80/hr. I could be wrong, but it wasn't that high. It's a small shop.

Check out his fb page and give him a call for a quote or whatever. His name is Eric. https://www.facebook.com/LandHAuto

yep same here, you must have seen my car at some point... and vice versa

OP, if you do need maintenance done for a reasonable price, Cima on Cranston St. is your best bet. Inskip, German Motors, etc... all charge an arm and a leg.

Go to the dealer for oil and filter, that is the only thing they are good for.

Gorgeous. I've already decided my next set of wheels are going to be gunmetal LM's.

Wheel/Suspension specs?

ESM ESR-4, got them from Euro-Spec back in Sept 2010
Wrapped in General Exclaim UHP

Front 19x8.5 235/35R19 ET 35
Rear 19x9.5 265/30R19 ET 42

H&R Sports, so about an inch drop up front, half inch in the back.

I want to say the offset (with 3mm spacers) are much more aggressive than ET42. My previous hyperblack CSL's were the SAME set up with a 45ET... there is no way i am rubbing this bad with 42ET. Not even close. I would guess they are 37ET.

I miss the old rims but the LM reps are so much nicer on the car IMO

Thats metacomet country club on the side of Vets Memorial Pkwy in East Providence...
