left trunk tray?

Hey guys.. hoping someone can track down the right part/part number for me. My 04 M3 vert has a missing trunk tray, and after two orders from ECS, I still don't have the right one.

Its a funky shape.. the first one was closer to fit but didn't, and the latest one isn't even close.

Here is a pic of the trunk, tray spot and the tray I just received.

Anyone have a similar setup?

Edit: Just noticed your trunk is very different than my trunk.

Weird huh? Two different trays, neither fit thus far. Just odd.

I have a 2004 M3 'vert as well, and it looks like you need the same piece I have. The one in your pic is obviously way off.

Mine has an extension on the upper right to cover that little peninsula in the gap. It's shaped like a slight trapezoid, with the wider part toward the front of the car. Check the pic of mine.

A little searching showed the full part number to be 51 47 8 236 275. The number on the back of the actual part doesn't have the 51 47 piece. It's a genuine BMW part, which is also stamped "Sellner"

No pic, but it looks like this is the part:

RealOEM shows the part # here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...03&hg=51&fg=65

07 Trunk tray left 1 51478236275 $34.30

If you look at the realoem link, you'll see that the tray shape varies depending on options. I have no nav, no cd changer and the hk business CD options.

You're probably missing the rivets too, of which you'll need 2.

08 EXPANDING RIVET SCHWARZ 2 51498166702 $0.37

Hope this helps.

Have you tried going on realoem.com and inserting the last 7 of your VIN?

SWEET! That looks a LOT closer! thank you so much! I bought 4 of the expanding rivots, as the battery tray was loose as well, so I have two waiting for the right tray when it finally shows up! Thanks again!

Yeah, was using them as the reference point to be able to actually look at the diagrams and figure out what is what.
