My Ride: 2003 325i
2003 325i w/ halogen headlights

Hey everyone this is my first post so please bear with me. Yesterday i bought a 2003 325i and i want to convert the headlamps from halogen to HID. Can i just buy the OEM stock HID headlight assemblies that were offered for that year? I was looking at pictures and they look like the connectors match up and all but without having them in front of me i cant tell for sure. Any advise will help, thanks!

Yeah, you should be able to, coding might be needed.

I'd double check on connections though

I'll keep doing some research but if coding is all that's needed than it might be worth it..I'm also looking into the OEM retrofit kit. Thanks for the response!

ebay projectors like these. they come in chrome and black. but if you do what i did, color doesnt matter, its the projector part you want. you have a 325i, so unfortunatley you might not have the correct set up.

i reused the OEM foglight housing, disassembled the cover from the projector, then inserted the projector into the OEM housing. only 2 holes required. i used morimoto h3c HID 4300k bulbs in mine, perfect match to the OEM xenon color. they look pretty much OEM when off

btw, if you do convert your headlights, try to get actual 4300k bulbs like OEM color not the ***** blueish white ones, theretrofitsource.com has some good stuff.
