Iphone 5 international use help
How would I get my att Iphone 5 to work in Europe with a different sim card?
or am I better off buying a new phone there?

Unlock it by calling AT&T or use one of those eBay unlockers like swift unlocks.

Going to be in Europe for a while? If not just just change your plan to international for a month or whatever; AT&T's affiliates have plenty of service in Western Europe.

back up and restore from factory if you have att. you will get a message saying your phone is unlocked.

Went to Paris for 2 weeks...put it on the international plan, but it never got switched...next month I got a $900 bill
 Just make sure nothing like that happens.
